Another Zuzzy Baby Gift

My favorite thing to sew! baby gifts!! Except this was for a crafty friend... a very talented, crafting friend (gulp!) I always get nervous sewing for my sewing friends. So it had to be good.
I used the divided basket pattern by Noodlehead. I bought this pattern immediately when it came out. It was one of those patterns that I just had to have! The pattern is very simple, and sews up super quick.

I used a canvas chevron, that I bought online (from fabric.com I think) accidentally thinking it was quilter's cotton. I didn't realize it was this stiff outdoors stuff. So it has sat in my stash waiting for the right project, and this was PERFECT for it!
I stocked it full of diapers.
Then I whipped up this little guy. The pattern is from the book "Lotta Jansdotter's Simple Sewing for Baby: 24 Easy Projects for Newborns to Toddlers" (amazon affiliate link)
One side is Amy Butler polka dots, the other is a soft yellow minky.

I just hope my friend isn't a chevron hater. What type of a friend am I if I don't even know her preferences towards chevron print???

  1. Seriously, I love the basket. It's perfect! Now we have a spot in our living room to hold some diapers. Thank you for taking time for such a thoughtful present. Handmade gifts really are the best!
